1:17   Therefore al the generations from Abraham unto Dauid, are fourtene generations.  And from Dauid to the Transmigration of Babylon, fourtene generations.  And from the Transmigration of Babylon unto CHRIST, fourtene generations.   So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations, and from David to the transmigration of Babylon, fourteen generations; and from the transmigration of Babylon to Christ, fourteen generations.   So all the Generations from Abraham to David, are fourteen Generations, and from David to the Transmigration to Babylon fourteen Generations, and from the Transmigration to Babylon till Christ, fourteen Generations.   So all the generations are fourteen from Abraham to David: fourteen from David until the going to Babylon: and fourteen from that time unto Jesus Christ.   So all the Generations from Abraham unto David, are fourteen Generations.  And from David to the Transmigration of Babylon, fourteen Generations.  And from the Transmigration of Babylon unto CHRIST, fourteen Generations.   1:17   So all the generations from Abraham unto David, are fourteen generations.  And from David until the carrying away to Babylon, are fourteen generations.  And from the carrying away to Babylon to Christ, are fourteen generations.   So all the generations from Abraham to David, are fourteen generations:  and from David until the carrying away to Babylon, fourteen generations;  and from the carrying away to Babylon till Christ fourteen generations.   Wherefore all the descents are,  from Abraham unto David fourteen descents; from David unto the migration to Babylon fourteen desents; and from the migration to Babylon unto Messiah fourteen descents.   So all the descents are  from Abraham unto David fourteen descents; from David to the migration to Babylon fourteen desents; and from the migration to Babylon to Christ fourteen descents.   So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David to the removal to Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the removal to Babylon unto Christ fourteen generations.   1:17

When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child, of the Holy Ghost.   Now the birth of Christ was thus: When Mary his mother was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.   Now the generation of the Messiah was in this wise. After the espousal of his mother Mary to Joseph, before they came together, she proved to be with child of the Holy Ghost.   Now the generation of the Christ was in this wise: His mother Mary being espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she proved to be with child of the Holy Ghost.   Now in this wise was Jesus Christ begotten: His mother Mary having been espoused to Joseph, before they came together she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.   1:18

For so they persecuted the Prophets, that were before you.   5:12             5:12
5:13   You are the salt of the earth.     Ye are the salt of the earth, but if the salt lose its savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and trodden under foot of men.   You are the salt of the Earth: but if salt lose its virtue with what shall it be salted?  It is then good for nothing, but to be thrown away, and troden upon by men.     You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt lose its savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is good for nothing any more but to be cast out, and to be trodden on by men.   5:13             5:13
5:14   But if the salt leese his vertue, wherewith shal it be salted?  It is good for nothing any more but to be cast forth, and to be troden of men.   Ye are the light of the world. A city, seated upon a mountain, cannot be hid.   You are the Light of the world. A City cannot be cannot be hid, that is situated on a Mountain.     You are the light of the world. A city seated on a mountain cannot be hid.   5:14             5:14
5:15   You are the light of the world.  A citie cannot be hid, situated on a mountaine.   Neither do folks light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but upon a candlestick; that it may give light to all that are in the house,   Neither do men light a Candle, and place it under a Bushel, but upon a Candlestick, that it may give Light to all in the House.     Neither do men light a candle and put it under a bushel, but upon a candlestick, that it may shine to all that are in the house.   5:15             5:15
5:16   Neither do men light a candel and put it vnder a bushel, but vpon a candelsticke, that it may shine to al that are in the house.   Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your father, who is in heaven.   So let your Light shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father, who is in Heaven.     So let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in Heaven.   5:16             5:16
5:17   So let your light shine before men:  that they may see your good workes, and glorifie your father which is in heauen.   Think not that I am come to break the law or the prophets.  I am not come to break but to fulfil.   Think not that I am come to destroy the Law, or the Prophets:  I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil them.     17 Do not think that I am come to destroy the Law, or the Prophets. I am not come to destroy but to fulfill.   5:17             5:17
5:18   Do not thinke that I am come to breake the Law or the Prophets.  I am not come to breake:  but to fulfil.   For in truth I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot, or one tittle of the law shall not pass, till all be fulfilled.   For truly I say to you, till Heaven, and Earth pass, not one jot, nor one Tittle of the Law shall pass, till all be fulfill'd.     For Amen I say unto you, till Heaven and Earth pass, one jot, or one tittle shall not pass of the Law, till all be fulfilled.   5:18             5:18
5:19   For assuredly I say vnto you, til heauen and earth passe, one iote or one tittle shal not passe of the Law: til al be fulfilled.   Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandmentes, and shall so teach men, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven:  but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.   Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and teach men to do so, he shall be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven:  but he that shall perform, and teach them, he shal be great in the Kingdom of Heaven.     He therefore that shall break one of these least commandments, and shall so teach men, shall be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven. But he that shall do and teach, he shall be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.   5:19             5:19
5:20   He therefore that shal breake one of these least commaundementes, & shal so teach men: shal be called the least in the Kingdom of heauen. But he that shal doe and teach: he shal be called great in the Kingdom of heauen.   For I say unto you, that unless your justice shall surpass that of the Scribes and Pharisees, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.   For I say to you, unless your Justice abound more than that of the Scribes, and Pharisees, you shall not enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.     For I tell you, that unless your justice abound more than that of the Scribes and Pharisees, you shall not enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.   5:20             5:20
5:21   For I tel you, that unles your iustice abound more than that of the Scribes and Pharisees, you shal not enter into the Kingdom of heauen.   Ye have heard, that it was said to the ancients:  thou shalt not kill:  and whosoever killeth, shall be in danger of judgment.   Ye have heard that it was said to them of old,  thou shalt not kill,  and he that killeth, shall be guilty of the Judgment.     You have heard that it was said to them of old: Thou shalt not kill. And whosoever shall kill, shall be in danger of the judgment.   5:21
5:22   You haue heard that it was sayd to them of old.  Thou shalt not kil.  And whoso killeth, shal be in danger of iudgement.   But I say unto you, that whosoever is angry with his brother, shall be guilty of the Judgment.  And whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be guilty of the Council.  And whosoever shall say, thou fool,  shall be guilty of Hell fire.   But I say to you, that everyone, who is angry with his Brother, shall be guilty of the Judgment.  And whosoever shall say to his Brother, Raca, shall be guilty of the Council.  And whosoever shall say, thou fool,  shal be guilty of Hell-fire.     But I say to you, that whosoever is angry with his brother, shall be in danger of the judgment. And whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council. And whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of Hell fire.   5:22             5:21
5:23   But I say to you, that whosoeuer is angrie with his brother, shal be in danger of iudgment.  And whosoeuer shal say to his brother, Raca: shal be in danger of a councel.  And whosoeuer shal say, Thou foole:  shal be guilty of the hel of fyre.   If therefore thy offer thy gift at the altar, and there remember, that thy brother hath ought against thee.     If therefore thy offerest thy Gift at the Altar, and thereshal't remember, that thy Broher hath any thing against thee,       If therefore thou offer thy gift at the Altar, and there thou remember that thy brother hath any thing against thee;   5:23             5:22
5:24   If therefore thy offer thy gift at the alter, and there thou remember that thy brother hath ought agaynst the:     Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way, first, to be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.   Leave there thy Offering before the Altar, and first go to be reconciled to thy Brother, and then thou shalt come, and offer thy Gift.     Leave there thy offering before the Altar, and go first to be reconciled to thy brother: and then coming thou shalt offer thy gift.   5:24             5:24
5:25   leaue there thy offering before the altar, and goe first to be reconciled to thy brother:  and then coming thy shalt offer thy gift.   Agree with thine adversary quickly, whilst thou art in the way with him:  Lest perhaps the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.   Make an Agreement speedily with thy Adversary whilst thou art in the way with him, lest thy Adversary deliver thee over to the Judge, and the Judge deliver thee to the Officer; and thou be cast into Prison.     Be at agreement with thy adversary betimes, whilst thou art in the way with him; lest perhaps the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.   5:25             5:25
5:26   Be at agreement with thy aduersarie betimes whiles thou art in the way with him:  lest perhaps the aduerserie deliuer thee to the judge, and the judge deliuer thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.   Verily I say unto thee, thou shalt not go out thence, till thou shalt pay the last farthing.   Amen I say unto thee, thou shalt not come out from thence, till thou pay the last Farthing.     Amen I say to thee, thou shalt not go out from thence till thou repay the last farthing.   5:26             5:26
5:27   Amen I say to thee, thou shalt not goe out from thence til thou repay the last farthing.   You have heard that it was said to the ancients: thou shalt not committee adultery.     You have heard that it was said to them of old; thou shalt not committee Adultery.       You have heard that it was said to them of old: Thou shalt not commit adultery.   5:27             5:27
5:28   You haue heard that it was sayd to them of old, Thou shalt not committee aduoutrie.     But I say unto you, that whosoever shall look upon a woman to lust after her, hath committed adultery with her in his heart.   But I say to you, that whosoever shall look on a woman to lust after her, hath already committed adultery with her in his Heart.     But I say to you, that whosoever shall look on a woman to lust after her, hath already committed adultery with her in his heart.   5:28             5:28
5:29   But I say to you, that whosoeuer shal see a woman to lust after her, hath already committed aduoutrie  with her in his hart.   And if thy right eye doth scandalize thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee:  for it is better for thee that one of thy members shou'd perish, than that thy whole body, shou'd be cast into hell.   And if thy right Eye Scandalize thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee:  for it is better for thee that one member of thy Body perish, than that thy whole Body be cast into Hell.     And if thy right eye scandalize thee, pluck it out and cast it from thee. For it is expedient for thee that one of thy members should perish, rather than thy whole body be cast into Hell.   5:29             5:29
5:30   And if thy right eie scandalize thee, plucke it out, & cast it from thee.  For it is expedient for thee that one of thy limmes perish, rather than thy whole body be cast into hel.   And if thy right hand scandalize thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is better for thee that one of thy members shou'd perish, than that thy whole body shou'd go into hell.   And if thy right hand scandalize thee, cut it off, and cast it from the; for it is better for thee, that one of thy Members perish, than that thy whole Body go into Hell.     And if thy right hand scandalize thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is expedient for thee that one of thy members should perish rather than that thy whole body go into Hell.   5:30             5:30
5:31   And if thy right hand scandalize thee, cut it of, and cast it from thee: for it is expedient for thee that one of thy limmes perish, rather than that thy whole body goe into hel.   It was said also: whosoever shall dismiss his wife, let him give her a bill of divorcement.   It hath also been said: whosoever shall dismiss his Wife, let him give her a writing of Divorce.     And it hath been said, whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a bill of divorce.   5:31             5:31
5:32   It was sayd also, whosoeuer shal dismisse his wife, let him giue her a bill of diuorcement.   But I say unto you, that whosoever shall dismiss his wife, saving the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery; and whosoever shall marry her, who hath been dismissed, committeth adultery.   But I say to you, whosoever shall dismiss his Wife, unless it be for the Cause of Adultery, causeth her to commit Adultery: and he that shall marry her that is dismissed, committeth Adultery.     But I say to you, that whosoever shall put away his wife excepting for the cause of fornication, maketh her to commit adultery: And he that shall marry her that is put away, committeth adultery.   5:32             5:32
5:33   But I say to you, whosoeuer shal dismisse his wife, excepting the cause of fornication, maketh her to committe aduoutrie: And he that shal marie her that is dismissed, committeth aduoutrie.   Again ye have heard, that it was said to the ancients:  thou shalt not forswear thy self, but shalt perform to the Lord thy oaths.   Again you have heard that it was said of old:  thou shalt not forswear thy self, but shall keep thy Oaths to the Lord.     Again you have heard that it was said to them of old, Thou shalt not forswear thyself: but thou shalt perform thy oaths to the Lord.   5:33             5:33
5:34   Agayne you haue heard that it was sayd to them of old, Thou shalt not committee periurie: but thou shalt perform thy othes to our Lord.   But I say unto you: swear not at all; neither by heaven, because it is God's throne:    But I say to you, swear not at all, neither by Heaven, because, it is the Throne of God:      But I say to you not to swear at all: neither by heaven, for it is the throne of God:   5:34             5:34
5:35   But I say to you not to sweare at al: neither by heauen, because it is the throne of God: neither by the earth, because it is the foote-stole of his feete:  neither by Hierusalem, because it is the citie of the great King.   Nor by the earth, because it is his footstool:  neither by Jeusalem, because it is the city of the great king.   Neither by the Earth, because it is his Footstool, nor by Jeusalem, because it is the City of the great King.     Nor by the earth, for it is his foot-stool: nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King.   5:35             5:35
5:36   Neither shalt thou sweare by thy head, because thou canst not make  one heare white or blacke.   Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make  one hair white or black.   Neither shalt thou swear by thy Head, for thou can not make  one Hair white, or black.     Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.   5:36             5:36
5:37   Let your talke be, yea, yea:  no, no:  and that which is ouer & aboue these, is of euil.   But let your discourse be, yea, yea:  no, no:  for what is more than these, is from evil.   But let your speech be, yes, yes;  no, no:  and what is more than these, proceedeth from Evil.     But let your speech be yea, yea: no, no: and that which is over and above these, is of evil.   5:37             5:37
5:38   You haue heard that it was sayd, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.   Ye have heard that it was said: an eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.   You have heard that it was said: an Eye for an Eye, and a Tooth, for a Tooth.     You have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.   5:38             5:38
5:39   But I say to you not to resist euil:  but if one strike thee on thy right cheeke, turne to him also the other:   But I say unto you, not to resist evil:  but if one shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.   But I say to you, not to resist the evil:  but if any one strike thee on thy right Cheek, turn also the other to him.     But I say to you not to resist evil: but if one strike thee on thy right cheek, turn to him also the other:   5:39             5:39
5:40   and to him that wil contend with thee iudgment, and take away thy cote, let goe thy cloke also vnto him.   And to him, who will sue thee at law, and take away thy coat, give thy cloak also.   And if any one will go with thee to Law, to take away thy Coat, quitt also to him thy Cloak.     And if a man will contend with thee in judgment, and take away thy coat, let go thy cloak also unto him.   5:40             5:40
5:41   and whosoeuer wil force thee one mile, goe with him other twayne.   And whosoever will force thee a mile, go with him two more.   And whosoever shall force thee to go a mile with him, go with him other two.     And whosoever will force thee one mile, go with him other two,   5:41             5:41
5:42   He that asketh of thee, giue to him: and to him that would borow of thee, turne not away.   Give to him, who asketh thee, and from him, who would borrow of thee, turn not away.   Give to him that asketh of thee: and turn not away from him that would borrow of thee.     Give to him that asketh of thee, and from him that would borrow of thee, turn not away.   5:42             5:42
5:43   You haue heard that it was sayd, Thou shalt loue thy neighbor, and hate thine enemie.   Ye have heard, that it was said, thou shalt love thy neighbor, and hate thine enemy.   You have heard it was said: thou shalt love thy Neighbor, and thou shalt hate thy Enemy.     You have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbor, and hate thine enemy.   5:43             5:43
5:44   But I say to you, loue your enemies, doe good to them that hate you: and pray for them that persecute and abuse you:   But I say unto you: love your enemies, do good to them, who hate you, and pray for them, who persecute and despitefully use you.   But I say to you: love your Enemies, do good to those that hate you: and pray for those who persecute you, and utter Calumnies against you:     But I say to you, love your enemies, do good to them that hate you: and pray for them that persecute and calumniate you:   5:44             5:44
5:45   that you may be the children of your father which is in heauen, who maketh his sunne to rise vpon good & bad, and rayneth vpon iust & vniust.   That ye may be the children of your father which is in heaven, who maketh his sun to rise upon the good and the bad, and raineth upon the just and the unjust.   To the end you may be the Children of your Father, who is in Heaven: who maketh his Sun rise upon the good, and the bad, and raineth upon the just and unjust.     That you may be the children of your Father who is in heaven, who maketh his sun to rise upon the good and bad, and raineth upon the just and the unjust.   5:45             5:45
5:46   For if you loue them that loue you, what reward shal you haue?  Do not also the Publicans this?   For if you love them that love you, what reward shall you have?  Do not even the Publicans the same?   For if you love those that love you, what reward shall you have?  Do not even the Publicans do this?     For if you love them that love you, what reward shall you have, do not even the Publicans this?   5:46             5:46
5:47   And if you salute your brethren only, what do you more?  Do not also the heathen this?   And if ye salute your brethren only, what do you more?  Do not even the Heathens so?   And if you salute your Brethren only, what do you more?  do not even the Publicans do this?     And if you salute your brethren only, what do you more, do not also the Heathens this?   5:47             5:47
5:48   Be you perfect therefore, as also your heauenly father is perfect.   Be ye therefore perfect, even as your heavenly Father is perfect.   Be you therefore perfect, even as your heavenly Father is perfect.     Be you therefore perfect, as also your heavenly Father is perfect.   5:48             5:48
Ch. 6           Ch. 6       Ch. 6
6:01   Take good heede that you doe not your iustice before men, to be seen of them:  otherwise reward you shal not haue with your father which is in heauen.   Take heed you do not your justice before men, to be seen by them:  otherwise ye shall have no reward of your father who is in Heaven.
6:02   Therefore when thou doest an almes-deede, sound not a trompet before thee, as the hypocrites doe in the Synagogues and in the streetes, that they may be honoured of men: Amen I say to you, they haue receiued their reward.   When therefore thou givest alms, do not sound a Trumpet before thee, as the Hypocrites do, in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be honoured by men.  Verily I say unto you, they have received their reward.
6:03   But when thou doest an almes-deede, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:   But when thou givest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth.
6:04   that thy almes-deede may be in secrete, and thy father which seeth in secrete, wil repay the.   That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father, who seeth in secret, shall reward thee.
6:05   And when ye pray, you shal not be as the hypocrites, that loue to stand & pray in the Synagogs and corners of the streetes, that they be seen of men:  Amen I say to you, they haue receiued their reward.   And when ye pray, be not like the Hypocrites, who love to pray standing in the synagogues, and in the corners of the streets, that they be seen by men:  Verily I say unto you they have received their reward.
6:06   But thou when thou shalt pray, enter into thy chamber, & hauing shut the doore, pray to thy father in secrete: and thy father which seeth in secrete, wil repay thee.   But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and having shut the door, pray to thy Father in secret: and thy Father, who seeth in secret, will reward thee.
6:07   And when you are praying, speake not much, as the heathen.  For they thinke that in their much-speaking they may be heard.    But as ye pray, do not speake much, like the heathens, for they think, that by much talk they may be heard.
6:08   Be not you therefore like to them, for your father knoweth what is needful for you, before you aske him.   Be ye not therefore like unto them: for your father doyh know what you want, before you ask him.
6:09   Thus therefore shal you pray.  OUR FATHER which art in heauen, sanctified be thy name.   Ye shall therefore pray after this manner.  Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
6:10   Let thy Kingdom come.  Thy wil be done, as in heauen in earth also.   Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
6:11   Give vs to day our supersubstantial bread.   Give us this day our supersubstantial bread.
6:12   And forgiue  vs our detes, as we also forgiue our detters.   And forgive  us our Debts, as we forgive our Debters.
6:13   And leade vs not into tentation.  But deliuer vs from evil. Amen.    And leade vs not into tentation.  But deliuer vs from evil. Amen.
6:14   For if you wil forgiue men their offenses, your heauenly father wil forgiue you also your offfenses.   For if ye forgive men their sins, your heavenly father will forgive you your trespasses.
6:15   But if you wil not forgiue men, neither wil your father forgiue you your offenses.   But if ye will not forgive men, neither wil your father forgive you your sins.
6:16   And when you fast, be not as the hypocrites, sad.  For they disfigure their faces, that they may appeare vnto men to fast.  Amen I say to you, that they haue receiued their reward.   And when ye fast, be not sad, like the hypocrites: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast.  Verily I say unto you, they have received their reward.
6:17   But thou when thou doest fast, anoynte thy head, and wash thy face:   But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thy head and wash thy face:
6:18   that thou appeare not to men to fast, but to thy father which is in secrete: and thy father which seeth in secrete, wil repay thee.   That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy father, who is in secret: and thy father, who seeth in secret, will reward thee.
6:19   Heape not vp to your selues treasures on earth: where the rust & mothe do corrupt, & where theeues digge through & steale.   Lay not up for yourselves treasures on earth, where rust and moth do corrupt, and where theives dig through and steal.
6:20   But heape vp to your selues treasures in heauen: where neither the rust nor mothe doth corrupt, and where theeues do not digge through nor steale.   But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither rust nor moth do corrupt, and where theives do not dig through, nor steal.
6:21   For where thy treasure is, there is thy hart also.   For where thy treasure is, there is thy heart also.
6:22   The candel of thy body is thine eye.  If thine eye be simple, thy whole body shal be lightsome.   The light of thy body is thine eye:  if thine eye be single, thy whole body will be bright.
6:23   But if thine eye be naught:  thy whole body shal be darksome.  If then the light that is in thee, be darkness: the darkness it self how great shal it be?   But if thine eye be evil,  thy whole body shall be dark.  If then the light, which is in thee, be darkness; the darkness it self how great shall it be?
6:24   No man can serue two masters.  For either he wil hate the one, and loue the other:  or he wil sustayne the one, and contemne the other.  You cannot serve God and Mammon.   No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other:  or he will uphold the one, and despise the other.  Ye cannot serve God and Mammon.
6:25   Therefore I say to you, be not careful for your life what you shal eate, neither for your body what rayment you shal put on.  Is not the life more than the meate:  and the body more than the rayment?   Therefore I say unto you, be not in pain for your life, what ye shal eat; nor for your body, what ye shal put on: Is not the life more than food,  and the body more than raiment?
6:26   Behold the foules of the ayre, that they sow not, neither reape, nor gather into barnes: and your heauenly father feedeth them.  Are not you much more of price than they?   Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns: yet your heavenly father feedeth them:  are not ye more valuable than they?
6:27   And which of you by caring, can adde to his stature one cubite?   Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit to his stature?
6:28   And for rayment why are you careful?  Consider the lillies of the field how they grow:  they labour not, neither do they spinne.   And why are ye in pain for raiment?  consider the lillies of the field how they grow;  they labour not, neither do they spin.
6:29   But I say to you, that neither Salomon in al his glorie was arayed as one of these.   Yet I say unto you, that even Salomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
6:30   And if the grasse of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, God doth so clothe:  how much more you O ye of very smal faith?   If then God so cloath the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more cloath you O ye of little faith?
6:31   Be not careful therefore, saying, what shal we eate, or what shal we drinke, or wherewith shal we be couered?   Be not therefore in pain, saying: what shall we eat, or what shall we drink, or wherewith shall we be cloathed.
6:32   for all these thinges the Heathen do seeke after.  For your father knoweth that you neede al these things   For after all these things do the Gentiles seek.  For your father knows that ye have need of all these things
6:33   Seeke therefore first the Kingdom of God, & the iustice of him: and al these things shal be giuen you besides.   Seek ye therefore first the kingdom of God, and his justice, and all these things shall be added unto you.
6:34   Be not careful therefore for the morrow.  For the morrow day shal be careful for it self.  sufficient for the day is the euil thereof.   Be not then in pain for the morrow, for the morrow will take care of itself: sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
Ch. 7       Ch. 7       Ch. 7
7:01   IUDGE not, that you be not iudged.   Judge not, that ye be not judged.         7:01             7:01
7:02   For in what iudgment you iudge, you shal be iudged:  and in what measure you mete, it shal be measured to you agayne.   For with what iudgment ye judge, ye shall be judged;  and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured you again.         7:02             7:02
7:03   And why seest thou the mote that is in thy brothers eye:  and the beame that is in thine owne eye thou seest not?   And why dost thou see the mote in thy brother's eye,  and seest not the beam in thine own?         7:03             7:03
7:04   Or how sayest thou to thy brother, Let me cast out the mote of thine eye: and behold a beame is in thine owne eye?   Or how sayest thou to thy brother: let me pull the mote out of thine eye, and behold a beam is in thine own eye?         7:04             7:04
7:05   Hypocrite, cast out first the beame out of thine owne eye, and then shalt thou see to cast out the mote out of thy brothers eye.   Thou hypocrite, first cast the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see to pull the mote out of thy brothers eye.         7:05             7:05
7:06   Giue not that which is holy to dogges:  neither cast ye your pearles before swine, lest perhaps they treade them with their feete, and turning, al to teare you.   Give not that which is holy to the dogs,  neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest perhaps they trample them under their feet, and turn, and tear you also.         7:06             7:06
7:07   Aske, and it shal be giuen you:  seeke, and you shal finde, knocke, and it shal be opened to you.   Ask, and it shal be given you:  seek, and ye shall find:, knock, and it shall be opened unto you.         7:07             7:07
7:08   For euery one that asketh, receiueth:  and that seeketh, findeth, and to him that knocketh, it shal be opened.   For every one, who asketh, receiveth:  and who seeketh, findeth: and to him who knocketh, it shall be opened.         7:08             7:08
7:09   Or what man is there of you, whom if his childe shal aske bread, wil he reach him a stone?   Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he reach him a stone?         7:09             7:09
7:10   Or if he shal aske him fish, wil he reach him a serpent?   Or if he ask a fish, will he reach him a serpent?         7:10             7:10
7:11   If you then being naught, know how to giue good giftes to your children:  how much more wil your father which is in heauen, giue good things to them that aske him?   If ye then being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children;  how much more will your father, who is in heaven, give good things to those who ask him?         7:11             7:11
7:12   Al things whatsoeuer you wil that men doe to you doe you also to them.  For this is the Law and the Prophets.   Therefore all things whatsoever ye would, that men should do to you, do ye even so to them:  for this is the law and the prophets.         7:12             7:12
7:13   Enter ye by the narrow gate:  because brode is the gate, and large is the way that leadeth to perdition, and many there be that enter by it.   Enter ye in, by the streight gate;  for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, which leads to destruction, and many they are, who go in thereat.         7:13             7:13
7:14   How narrow is the gate, and straite is the way that leadeth to life:  and few there are that finde it!   How streight is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leads to life,  and few they are who find it!         7:14             7:14
7:15   Take ye great heede of false Prophets, which come to you in the clothing of sheep, but inwardly are rauening wolues.   Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's cloathing,  but inwardly are ravenous wolves.         7:15             7:15
7:16   By their fruites you shal know them.  Do men gather grapes of thornes, or figges of thistles?   By their fruits ye shall know them.  Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?         7:16             7:16
7:17   Euen so euery good tree yeldeth good fruites, and the euil tree yeldeth euil fruites.   Even so every good tree brings good fruite; but a bad tree brings bad fruit.         7:17             7:17
7:18   A good tree can not yeldeth euil fruites, neither an euil tree yeld good fruites.   A good tree can not bring bad fruit, neither can a bad tree bring good fruit.         7:18             7:18
7:19   Euery tree that yeldeth not good fruite, shal be cut downe, and shal be cast into fyre.   Every tree, which bringeth not good fruit, shall be cut down, and cast into the fire.         7:19             7:19
7:20   Therefore by their fruites you shal know them.   Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.         7:20             7:20
7:21   Not euery one that sayth to me, Lord, Lord, shal enter into the Kingdom of heauen:  but he that doeth the wil of my father which is in heauen, he shal enter into the kingdom of heauen.   It is not every one, who saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven:  but he that does the will of my father, who is in heaven, the same shall enter into the kingdom of heaven.         7:21             7:21
7:22   Many shal say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, haue not we prophecied in thy name, and in thy name cast out diuels, and in thy name wrought many miracles?   Many shall say to me in that day, Lord, Lord: have we not  prophesied in thy name? and in thy name cast out Devils, and in thy name have wrought many miracles.         7:22             7:22
7:23   And then I wil confesse vnto them, Than I neuer knew you.  depart from me you that worke iniquitie.   And then I wil confess unto them: I never knew you, depart from me ye that work iniquity.         7:23             7:23
7:24   Euery one therefore that heareth these my wordes, and doeth them:  shal be likened to a wise man that built his house vpon a rocke,    Therefore whosoever hears these my words, and fulfills them, shall be likened to a wise man, who built his house upon a rock.          7:24             7:24
7:25   and the rayne fel, and the fluddes came, & the windes blewe, and they beate agaynst that house, and it fel not, for it was founded vpon a rocke.   And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house, and it fell not; for it was founded upon a rock.         7:25             7:25
7:26   And euery one that heareth these my wordes, & doeth them not, shal be like a foolish man that built his house vpon the sand,    And wshosoever hears these my words, and fulfills them not, shall be like to a foolish man, who built his house upon sand.          7:26             7:26
7:27   and the rayne fel, and the fluddes came, and the windes blewe, and they beate agaynst that house, and it fel, & the fal thereof was great.   And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and they beat upon that house, and it fell, and great was its fall.         7:27             7:27
7:28   And it came to passe, when IESVS had fully ended these wordes, the multitude were in admiration vpon his doctrine.   And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished these words, the multitude was astonished at his doctrine.         7:28             7:28
7:29   For he was teaching them as hauing power, and not as the Scribes and Pharisees.   For he taught them, as one having authority, and not as their Scribes and Pharisees.         7:29             7:29
Ch. 8   Ch. 8       Ch. 8
8:01   And when he was come downe from the mountaine, great multitudes folowed him:   And when he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him.         8:01             8:01
8:02   And behold a leper came and adored him saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me cleane.   And behold a leper came and adored him, saying: Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.         8:02             8:02
8:03   And IESVS stretching forth his hand, touched him, saying.  I wil.  Be thou made clean.  And forthwith, his leprosy was made cleane.   And Jesus, stretching out his hand, touched him, saying:  I will:  be thou clean, and immediately his leprosie was cleansed.         8:03             8:03
8:04   And IESVS sayth to him, See thou tel no body: but goe, shew thy self to the priest, & offer the gift which Moyses commaunded for a testimonie to them.   And Jesus saith unto him, See thou tell no body, but go, shew thy self to the Priest, and offer the gift which Moses commanded for a testimony to them.         8:04             8:04
8:05   And when he was entred into Capharnaum, there came to him a Centurion, beseeching him,    And when he had entered into Capharnaum, there came a Centurion unto him, beseeching him,          8:05             8:05
8:06   & saying, Lord my boy lieth at home sicke of the palsy, & is sore tormented.   And saying:  Lord my servant lieth at home sick of the palsie, and is much tormented.         8:06             8:06
8:07   And IESVS sayth to him, I wil come, & cure him.   And Jesus saith unto him, I wil come and heal him.         8:07             8:07
8:08   And the Centurion making answer, sayd, Lord I am not worthie that thou shouldest enter vnder my roofe:  but only say the word, and my boy shal be healed.   And the Centurion answering, said: Lord I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof,  but say the word only and my servant will be healed.         8:08             8:08
8:09   For I also am a man subiect to authoritie, hauing vnder me souldiars: and I say to this, goe, and he goeth:  and to another, come, & he cometh:  and to my seruant, doe this, & he doeth it.   For I my self am a man under authority, hauing soldiers under me; and I say to this, go, and he goeth:  and to another, come, and he cometh:  and to my servant do this, and he doeth it.         8:09             8:09
8:10   And IESVS hearing this, marueiled:  and sayd to them that folowed him, Amen I say to you, I haue not found so great faith in Israel.   When Jesus heard this he marvelled,  and said to those, who followed him:  Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith in Israel.         8:10             8:10
8:11   And I say to you, that many shal come from the East and West, and shal sitte downe with Abraham & Isaac & Jacob in the kingdom of heauen:   And I say unto you, that many shall come from the East and West, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven.         8:11             8:11
8:12   but the children of the kingdom shal be cast out into the exteriour darknesse: there shal be weeping & gnashing of teeth.   But the children of the kingdom shall be cast into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.         8:12             8:12
8:13   And IESVS said to the Centurion, Goe: and as thou hast beleeued, be it done to thee.  And the boy was healed in the same houre.   And Jesus said unto the Centurion, Go thy way, and as thou hast believed, be it done unto thee.  And his servant was healed in that very hour.         8:13             8:13
8:14   And when IESVS was come into Peters house, he saw his wiues mother layde, & in a fitte of a feuer:   And when Jesus was come into Peters house, he saw his wive's mother laid, and sick of a fever.         8:14             8:14
8:15   and he touched her hand, and the feuer left her, and she arose, and ministred to him.   And he touched her hand, and the fever left her, and she arose and ministered unto them.         8:15             8:15
8:16   And when euening was come, they brought to him many who had diuels: and he cast out the spirites with a word: and al that were il at ease he cured:   When the even was come, they brought unto him many possessed with devils; and he cast out the spirits with his word: and healed all that were sick.         8:16             8:16
8:17   that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esay the Prophete saying, He tooke our infirmities, and bare our diseases.   That it might be fulfilled, which was spoken by Isaias the Prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our diseases.         8:17             8:17
8:18   And IESVS seeing great multitudes about him, commaunded to goe beyond the water.   Now when Jesus saw great multitudes about him, he commanded them to go beyond the water.         8:18             8:18
8:19   And a certaine Scribe came, and sayd to him, Master, I wil folow thee whithersoeuer thou shalt goe.   And a certaine Scribe drawing near, said unto him:  Master, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest.         8:19             8:19
8:20   And IESVS sayth to him, the foxes haue holes, and the foules of the ayre nestes:  but the sonne of man hath not where to lay his head.   And Jesus saith unto him: The foxes have kennels, and the birds of the air have nests,  but the son of man hath not where to lay his head.         8:20             8:20
8:21   And an other of his Disciples sayd to him, Lord, permit me first to goe & burie my father.   And another of his Disciples said unto him:  Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.         8:21             8:21
8:22   But IESVS sayd to him, Folow me, and let the dead burie their dead.   But Jesus said unto him; Follow me, and let the dead bury their dead.         8:22             8:22
8:23   And when he entered into the boate, his Disciples folowed him:    And when he had gone aboard a small vessel, his Disciples followed him.          8:23             8:23
8:24   and loe a great tempest arose in the sea, so that the boate was couered with waues, but he slept.   And behold there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that that the vessel was covered with the waves, but he was a sleep.         8:24             8:24
8:25   And they came to him, and raised him, saying, Lord, saue us, we perish.   And his Disciples came to him, and awaked him, saying:  Lord, save us, we perish.         8:25             8:25
8:26   And he saith to them, Why are you fearful O ye of litle faith?  Then rising vp he commaunded the windes and the sea, and there ensued a great calme.   And he saith unto them:  Why are ye fearful O ye of little faith?  Then he arose and commanded the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.         8:26             8:26
8:27   Moreouer the men marueled saying, what an one is this, for the windes and the sea obey him?   But the men marvelled, saying: What kind of man is this; for the winds and the sea obey him?         8:27             8:27
8:28   And when he was come beyond the water into the countrey of the Gerasens, there mette him two that had diuels, coming forth out of the sepulchres, exceding fierce, so that none could passe by that way.   And when he had to the other side of the water, into the Country of the Gerasens, there met him two possessed with devils coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce; so that no man could pass that way.         8:28             8:28
8:29   And behold they cried saying, what is betwene vs and thee IESV the sonne of God? Art thou come hither to torment vs before the time?   And behold they cried out, saying: What have we to do with thee Jesus son of God? Art thou come to torment us before the time?         8:29             8:29
8:30   And there was not farre frome them an heard of many swine feeding.   And there was not far from them an herd of many swine feeding.         8:30             8:30
8:31   And the diuels besought him saying, If thou cast vs out, send vs into the heard of swine.   And the devils besought him, saying: If thou cast us out hence, send us into the herd of swine.         8:31             8:31
8:32   And he said to them, Goe.  But they going forth went into the swine, and behold the whole heard went with a violence headlong into the sea: and they dyed in the waters.   And he said unto them, Go:  so coming out, they went into the swine, and behold the whole herd went violently down a steep place into the sea, and perished in the waters.         8:32             8:32
8:33   And the swineheardes fled: and comming into the citie, told al, and of them that had been possessed of diuels.   Whereupon the swineherds fled, and coming into the City told all, even concerning those, who had been possessed by the devils.         8:33             8:33
8:34   And behold the whole citie went out to meete IESVS, and when they saw him, they besought him that he would passe from their quarters.   And behold the whole City came out to meet Jesus, and when they saw him, they prayed him to depart from their coasts.         8:34             8:34
Ch. 9   Ch. 9       Ch. 9
9:01   And entring into a boate, he passed ouer the water, and came into his owne citie.           9:01             9:01
9:02   And behold they brought to him one sicke of the palsey lying in bedde.  And IESVS seeing their faith, said to the sicke of the palsey, Haue a good hart sonne, thy sinnes are forgiuen thee.           9:02             9:02
9:03   And behold certaine of the Scribes sayd within them selues, He blashphemeth.             9:03             9:03
9:04   And IESVS seeing their thoughtes, said.  wherefore think you euil in your hartes?           9:04             9:04
9:05   Whether is easier, to say, thy sinnes are forgiuen thee: or to say, Arise and walke?           9:05             9:05
9:06   But that you may know that the Sonne of man hath power in earth to forgiue sinnes, (then sayd he to the sicke of the palsey,) Arise, take vp thy bedde, and goe into thy house.           9:06             9:06
9:07   And he arose, and went into his house.           9:07             9:07
9:08   And themultitudes seeing it, were afrayd, and glorified God that gaue such power to men.           9:08             9:08
9:09   And when IESVS passed forth from thence, he saw a man sitting in the custome-house, named Matthew: And he sayth to him, Folow me.  And he arose vp, and folowed him.           9:09             9:09
9:10   And it came to passe as he was sitting at meate in the house, behold many Publicans and sinners came, and sate downe with IESVS and his Disciples.           9:10             9:10
9:11   And the Pharisees seeing it, sayd to his Disciples: why doth your Master eate with Publicans & sinners?           9:11             9:11
9:12   But IESVS hearing it, sayd:  They that are in health, neede not a physicion, but they that are il at ease.           9:12             9:12
9:13   But go your wayes and learne what it is, I wil mercie, & not sacrifice.  For I am not come to cal the iust, but sinners.           9:13             9:13
9:14   Then came to him the Disciples of Iohn, saying, why do we and the Pharisees fast often, but thy Disciples do not fast?           9:14             9:14
9:15   And IESVS sayd to them, Can the children of the bridegromme mourne, as long as the bridegroome is with them?  But the dayes wil come when the bridegroome shal be taken away from them, and then they shal fast.           9:15             9:15
9:16   And no body putteth a peece of raw cloth to an old garment.  For he taketh away the peecing thereof from the garment, and there is made a greater rent.           9:16             9:16
9:17   Neither do they put new wine into old bottels.  Otherwise the bottels breake, and the wine runneth out, and the bottels perish.  But new wine they pit into new bottels:  and both are preserued together.           9:17             9:17
9:18   As he was speaking this vnto them, behold a certaine Gouernour approached, and adored him, saying, Lord, my daughter is euen now dead:  but come, lay thy hand vpon her, and she shal liue.           9:18             9:18
9:19   And IESVS rysing vp folowed him, and his Disciples.           9:19             9:19
9:20   And behold a woman which was troubled with an issue of bloud twelue yeres, came behind him, and touched the hemme of his garment.           9:20             9:20
9:21   For she sayd within her self, If I shal touch only his garment: I shal be safe.           9:21             9:21
9:22   But IESVS turning and seeing her, sayd, Haue a good hart daughter, thy faith hath made the safe.  And the woman became whole from that houre.           9:22             9:22
9:23   And when IESVS was come into the house of the Gouernour, & saw minstrels and the multitude keeping a sturre,            9:23             9:23
9:24   he sayd, Depart:  for the wenche is not dead, but sleepeth.  And they laughed him to skorne.           9:24             9:24
9:25   And when the multitude was put forth, he entred in, and held her hand.  And the mayde arose.             9:25             9:25
9:26   And this bruite went forth into al that countrie.           9:26             9:26
9:27   And as IESVS passed forth from thence, there folowed him two blinde men crying and saying, Haue mercie on vs, O sonne of Dauid.           9:27             9:27
9:28   And when he was come to the house, the blinde came to him.  And IESVS sayth to them, Do you beleeve, that I can doe this vnto you?  They say to him, Yea Lord.           9:28             9:28
9:29   Then he touched their eyes, saying, According to your faith, be it done to you.           9:29             9:29
9:30   And their eyes were opened, and IESVS threatened them, saying, See that no man know it.           9:30             9:30
9:31   But they went forth, & bruited him in al that countrie.           9:31             9:31
9:32   And when they were gone forth, behold they brought him a dumme man, possessed with a diuel.           9:32             9:32
9:33   And after the diuel was cast out, the dumme man spake, and the multitudes marueled saying, Neuer was the like seene in Israel.           9:33             9:33
9:34   But the Pharisees sayd, In the prince of diuels he casteth out diuels.           9:35             9:35
9:35   And IESVS went about all the cities, and townes, teaching in their synagogs, and preaching the Gospel of the kingdom, and curing euery disease, and euery infirmitie.           9:36             9:36
9:36   And seeing the multitudes. He pitied them because they were vexed, and lay like sheepe that haue not a shepheard.           9:37             9:37
9:37   Then he sayth to his Disciples, The haruest surely is great, but the workemen are few.
9:38   Pray therefore the Lord of the haruest, that he send forth workemen into the haruest.           9:38             9:38
Ch. 10   Ch. 10       Ch. 10
10:01   And hauing called his twelue Disciples together, he gaue them power ouer vncleane spirites, that they should cast them out, and should cure al maner of disease, and al maner of infirmitie.           10:01             10:01
10:02   And the names of the twelue Apostles be these:  the first, Simon who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother,           10:02             10:02
10:03   Iames of Zebedee, and Iohn his brother, Philip and Barthlemew, Thomas and Matthew the publican, and Iames of Alphaerus, & Thaddaeus,            10:03             10:03
10:04   Simon Cananaeus, and Iudas Iscariote, who also betrayed him.           10:04             10:04
10:05   These twelue did IESVS send:  commaunding them, saying, Into the way of the Gentiles goe ye not, and into the cities of the Samaritans enter ye not:           10:05             10:05
10:06   but goe rather to the sheepe that are perished of the house of Israel.           10:06             10:06
10:07   And going preache, saying, That the kingdom of heauen is at hand.           10:07             10:07
10:08   Cure the sicke, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out diuels:  gratis you haue receiued, gratis give ye.           10:08             10:08
10:09   Do not possesse gold, nor siluer, nor money in your purses:           10:09             10:09
10:10   not a skrippe for the way, neither two coates, neither shoes, neither rodde, for the workeman is worthie of his meate.           10:10             10:10
10:11   And into whatsoeuer citie or towne you shal enter, inquire who in it is worthie:  and there tarie til you goe forth.           10:11             10:11
10:12   And when ye enter into the house, salute it, saying, peace be to this house.           10:12             10:12
10:13   And if so be that house be worthie, your peace shal come vpon it. but if it not be worthie:  your peace shal returne to you.           10:13             10:13
10:14   And whosoeuer shal not receiue you, nor heare your wordes: going forth out of the house or the citie shake of the dust from your feete.           10:14             10:14
10:15   Amen I say to you, it shal be more tolerable for the land of the Sodomites and Gomorrheans in the day of iudgement, than for that citie.           10:15             10:15
10:16   Behold I send you as sheepe in the middes of wolues.  Be ye therefore wise as serpents, and simple as dooues.           10:16             10:16
10:17   And take heede of men.  For the wil deliuer you vp in Councels, and in their synagogs they wil scourge you.           10:17             10:17
10:18   And to Presidents and to Kings shal you be ledde for my sake, in testimonie to them and the Gentiles.           10:18             10:18
10:19   But when they shal deliuer you vp, take no thought how or what to speake:  for it shal be giuen you in that houre what to speake.             10:19             10:19
10:20   For it is not you that speake, but the spirit of your father that speaketh in you.           10:20             10:20
10:21   The brother shal also deliuer vp the brother to death, and the father the sonne:  and the children shal rise vp agaynst the parents, and shal worke their death,            10:21             10:21
10:22   and you shal be odious to al men for my name, but he that shal perseuere vnto the end, he shal be saued.           10:22             10:22
10:23   And when they shal persecute you in this citie, flee into an other.  Amen I say to you, you shal not finish al the cities of Israel, til the sonne of man come.           10:23             10:23
10:24   The Diciple is not aboue the maister, not the seruant aboue his lord.             10:24             10:24
10:25   It sufficeth for the disciple that he be as his maister:  and the seruant as his lord.  If they have called the goodman of the house Beelzebub, how much more them of his household?           10:25             10:25
10:26   Therefore fear ye not them.  For nothing is hid, that shal not be reuealed:  and secrete, that shal not be knowen.           10:26             10:26
10:27   That which I speake to you in the darke, speake ye in the light:  and that which you heare in the eare, preache ye vpon the house toppes.           10:27             10:27
10:28   And feare ye not them that kil the body, and are not able to kil the soul:  but rather feare him that can destroy both soul and body into hel.           10:28             10:28
10:29   Are not two sparowes sold for a farthing:  and not one of them shal fall vpon the ground without your father?           10:29             10:29
10:30   But your very heares of your head are al numbered.           10:30             10:30
10:31   Feare not therefore:  better are you than many sparowes.           10:31             10:31
10:32   Euery one therefore that shal confesse me before men, I also wil confesse him before my father which is in heauen.           10:32             10:32
10:33   But he that shal denie me before men, I also wil denie him before my father which is in heauen.           10:33             10:33
10:34   Do not ye thinke that I came to send peace into the earth:  I came not to send peace, but the sword.           10:34             10:34
10:35   For I came to separate man agaynst his father, and the daughter agaynst her mother, and the daughter in law agaynst her mother in law.           10:35             10:35
10:36   And a mans enemies, they of his owne household.           10:36             10:36
10:37   He that loueth father or mother more than me, is not worthy of me:  and he that loueth sonne or daughter aboue me, is not worthy of me.           10:37             10:37
10:38   And he that taketh not his crosse, and foloweth me, is not worthy of me.           10:38             10:38
10:39   He that hath found his life, shal lose it:  and he that hath lost his life for me, shal find it.           10:39             10:39
10:40   He that receiueth you, receiueth me:  and he that receiueth me, receiueth him that sent me.           10:40             10:40
10:41   He that receiueth a Prophet in the name of a Prophet, shal receiue the reward of a Prophet.  and he that receiueth a iust man in the name of a iust man, shal receiue the reward of a iust man.           10:41             10:41
10:42   And whosoeuer shal giue drinke to one of these litle ones a cuppe of cold water, only in the name of a disciple, amen I say to you, he shal not lose his reward.           10:42             10:42
